Figured I would ask before I hooked it up and tried it. I just got a new iPhone, but would like to keep the retired iPhone3g for ipod duty when I workout and stuff. If I hook it up to my computer to sync and change music will this cause any kind of problem with the iTunes or the new iPhone??

No. iTunes will recognize that the two phones are different units, and both the new and old iPhones can share music, videos, apps ... everything.

I'd like to point out, that you can jailbreak and unlock that 3G and sell it for enough money to buy a higher capacity iPod Touch.

Just something to think about...
