I spent a lot of time finding this because descriptions were for older versions of Mouse System Preferences.

Apple symbol - System Preferences - Mouse

Check the box for Secondary Click. Default choice next to it should be "Right".

In their ineffable wisdom, Apple disables this option, by default, on systems that SHIP WITH MAGIC MOUSE.

One finger clicking on the right half of the Magic Mouse will then perform the Right-Click function, which avoids the awkward Control-Click method.

I, at times, actually prefer having a one-button mouse. Especially with something as sophisticated as the MagicMouse.
