I've just installed a second external drive, they're both WD My Books. Unfortunately, the new one named itself "My Book", just like the first one. I want to rename the new drive before I start using it to avoid confusion, but I can't figure out how to do that.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Gary

Right click on the drive's icon on the desktop, choose get info, and give it a new name in the name field.

Thanks!

Thank you, sir!

I kept trying to do just that in the Finder, with no success. Doing it on the Desktop made the difference!

An even quicker way is to just left click on the folder, press return and type the new name. :)
