Hi, all. I am having a problem with my hard drive. I have a macbookpro with a 300 GB Hard Drive, but the os will only recognize 236.9GB. I used to have windows7 on a partition which i formated and deleted that partition so now I only have the one partition showing on my desktop but the space is still being used somewhere. Was wondering if anyone can help me get it back without a format of my OSX partition

diskutil list gives me this:

#: Type Name Size Identifier
0: GUID_partition_scheme *298.1Gi disk0
1: EFI 200.0Mi disk0s1
2: Apple_HFS Mac OS 236.9Gi disk0s2

Tell us how you deleted the Windows 7 partition and how much space did it take up? Does the former Windows 7 partition space equal your missing space?
