My 13 inch white mac took a small fall, and the hinge that connects the keyboard to the screen is out of place. I've tried to wedge it back, but no success. It seems like I should be able to put it back into place without taking it in, but I can't figure it out.

I can't take a picture... but to try and (pathetically) describe... It makes a bit of a click when opening it, since the top hits the bottom in a weird way. From behind/when it's closed, the fan is a lot more visible than usual, and when open, there's a bit of a space between the top and the keyboard. The hinge is pretty much wedged upward and out... help?

It barely fell a foot, I'll be so upset if I have to pay a lot to fix it...

Welcome to the Mac Forums.

Go to iFixit: The free repair manual and have your model number on hand. Look up the step by step for replacing hinges on your MacBook. That should help you disassemble it and get the hinge back in place. If the hinge is damaged, you might have to replace it.
