Hello,

I just bought a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable, to connect my MacBook Pro (2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 gb 1067 MHz DDR3) to my Samsung UE 37c6000 Full HD LED TV

It does connect and looks great, but my sound isnt working, so I can see it on my TV but it still uses the soundboxes of my MacBook Pro.

How can I fix this?

Plz help me,

Djef

If its a mid 2010 macbook pro it should support audio right? I have a 2.4 with C2D and it works fine. Could be an issue with the adapter you're using considering some wont work (I have a dynex I got for $20 and it works fine). What I had to do was connect the second display with minidisplay port to hdmi, then went into system preferences/audio/output and selected hmdi for output of audio. Now whenever I connect the hdmi cable from the tv to minidisplay port the mac automatically switches to hdmi for both video and audio. Its worth a shot to try it.

Yes, all of the mid 2010 models do output audio over the mdp.
