Hi,
I'm not super familiar with Time Machine. I have a 2TB external drive dedicated to backups only. "Info" says I have 217 gigs left of space to use, but Time Machine keeps telling me that my backup drive is full.

Can anyone explain what I might be interpreting/doing wrong or what needs to be done to allow Time Machine to do its job properly? Thanks!

How much in capacity do you normally backup in one session? Time Machine usually needs more working space than the actual size of what you're backing up.

Time Machine

Wish I could say how much I back up, but I don't know how to qualify that.

I thought the general idea was to match & update the older files, while possibly adding some new ones. I'm still confused as to why I have so much space available yet Time Machine won't use it.
