the ibook and the ipod

i just got the ibook i ordered off ebay in, infact im writing this right now on it. Everything works perfectly, most of it looks like its brand new, good deal for $280. Except when i plug my ipod in to the computer it doesnt recognize it at all, the ipod harddrive doesnt even spin at all. I went into system profiler and it said there was something plugged in the firewire port. note: im using OS 9.2.2. Does the ipod even work with OS 9?

You need 10.2.8 or higher or 10.3.4 or higher

You would need iTunes to transfer music, meaning you need atleast jaguar, and I think they are donw with os 9 support, however you most likely can get a cheap copy of jaguar for your clamshell iBook on eBay for like 15 - 25 dollars....
