Hello all,

I have a Macbook Pro 15" and have just noticed the screen is loosened quite noticeably from the unibody on the bottom left hand side and running along the bottom too. It is outside of warranty.

I'm not quite sure how this occurred; possibly dropped (not by me) but no-one's owning up if it has. Eitherway I was looking for some advice if I can "self help" repair it. I'm fairly familiar with Computer hardware; although inexperienced with Apple products, so not too sure where to start.

Any advice would be greatly received

Thank-you in advance

Kind Regards

I can't offer much advice about the unibody MBP as to how the screen is attached. I know that the display top is replaced as one unit on that model.

What I suggest is go to iFixit: The free repair manual and see if they have a step by step for replacing the display on that model. That might give you a hint or two on how to tighten up the display (if possible).
