I have several music videos that I have downloaded and using Handbrake converted into Mp4 files and ithen mported them into itunes.I now wish to add these files into Imovie and then effectivley join them up to make one long video movie that I can export into my iphone.

I cannot seem to get these mp4 files into Imovie though ?

Any thoughts

If they're playing in iTunes, they should work in iMovie.

I would make a copy of the iTunes version and place the copy outside of iTunes, see if that makes a difference.

It always helps if you say which OS and which version of iMovie you are using.

It works OK for me, which is probably of little help.

Can you open the MP4 file in QuickTime, get info and give us some specifics on the codecs involved? Something's fishy here.

I think I have solved the problem.Although I saved the file as a MP4 it seems to have saved it from Handbrake as a M4V file .Once I have saved it as a proper MP4 it goes into Imovie.
I am not sure what the diffrence between MV4 is but at least the problem is sorted,Thanks for your help
