New Hard Drive

After a few months of the ring of death!! I got my Mac repaired today. I have had a new HD installed.

I purchased a new external hard drive yesterday and backed everything up.

On boot up when i got home today i reverted back to the last backup but cant seem to find all my files.

Music is not in Itunes, cant find iPhoto so cant find my photos!!

Is there anything i have not done right??

What OS are you using?

You backed everything up how?

Did you verify the backup - as in make sure it worked and all your data was there?

You reverted back to the last backup how?

As soon as i plugged the external hard drive in time machine kicked in and backed everything up.

Then when i got home tonight booted up and time machine popped up straight away and selected the last backup and reverted to that.
