Insecure Startup Items folder detected

Hi,

I have recently installed a printer driver on osx 10.6.

The message pops up every time I switched on, it states:

"Insecure Startup Items folder detected.

Items in the Startup Items folder (“/Library/StartupItems/”)
have not been started because the folder does not have the proper security settings."

There is only a folder called "HP Trap Monitor" with some files in it.

How do I resolve it?

You can try repairing permissions to see if that will work. I recommend rather than doing it from Disk Utility (with your install DVD) that you download OnyX and use it to repair permissions. OnyX is free and is an excellent mx and cleanup utility. Download it from here. Be sure to read the instructions for OnyX before using it.
