I'm looking for a free and easy Cad program to use on the Mac. I currently use a PC program called CadStd but I doubt I can use it with Mac. It doesn't have to be a real powerful program. just need to be able to outline, draw footprints of buildings and maybe export as PDF. Would like to be able to snap lines and assign a distance as well so that the program can calculate area.

Almost all CAD programs for the Mac offer a free trial at the very least so you can experiment. You might start with Google's Sketchup (free) and have a look at Lemkesoft's CADintosh (not free but cheap).
