Hey guys,

my friend just hooked me up with an ipod (generation 1 ) because he couldnt run it on windows and I have an ibook.

I was just wondering if there is any way he can use it with his windows machine. I wouldnt mind giving it back to him.

If he can use it, I'd be interested in learning how.

thanks in advance.

Officially that is...

Unofficially: I think you can use the iPod software updater on it and that'll reformat it to windows.

If not: get macopener for windows and you should be able to use it with iTunes.
If not, try macopener and ephpod.

iPod updaters haven't had any updates for the Gen 1 iPods in a while
