My friend's computer crashed and now he wants to get at his files on the HDD. He has a laptop, so he doesn't want a new computer, just the files. I bought a dock for internal drives, but it looks like the dock doesn't have a connection for the power connector on the HDDs he has.

I thought these were standard SATA drives. Does anyone know what kind of connections these are so I can find the correct enclosure or dock to use? Or does anyone know of a way I can get to the files otherwise? I should mention that the HDDs were used on a windows computer.

Thanks!

EDIT: just so you know, the pick of the actual connections is upside down compared to the pic of the sticker pointing to them.

Not SATA, that is an IDE (PATA) connector.

Grab yourself a kit similar to this.
