Will Patriot Memory upgrade work on MacBook Pro i5?

This is the link to the exact memory upgrade that I'm considering buying/bidding on from ebay: Patriot Memory - Products

I just wanted to know if this memory is compatible with my MacBook Pro i5, the newest one.
Also, this is where I've been watching the item on ebay: Patriot Memory - (2x4GB module) MacBook DDR3 8GB - eBay (item 280595726630 end time Dec-04-10 12:14:25 PST)

Looks like you got it for just under market price. The lowest I can find for 2x4GB of DDR3 laptop memory is $114.

You have to be really careful when it comes to upgrading RAM on a mac, mac computers can be really picky about it.

Buzzard, not sure what you're talking about. As long as the RAM has the appropriate specs and speed, it should work just fine. I've never seen anybody have any problems with a particular brand.

Usually the name brands work in Macs, sometimes they won't tho. They're just picky. But 9 times out of 10, they will work fine.

January 6, 2011 - Patriot Memory Failed, see details

Just an FYI for my experience today at Fry's.
8GB (PSD38G1333SK) 2x4GB, runs at 1333M Hz (above spec)
Two gentlemen working memory said 'should work' - engineering friend said it would too, just that it would run slower than the memory is capable.
note- $99.99 on sale in stock... SO...
Froze the 13" MBP every time at about 20" into bootup. Tried re-seating, running with just one.. always same behavior.Will go back to get exact spec.

This is the wrong memory.
You should be using 204 pin PC3 8500 "1066 Mhz" DDR3 SO-DIMM memory as should the original poster.
