Has anyone joined up with this down load site, if so are there any decent books to download.

Have not tried it, because I'm not into stealing content.
They're charging for their version of P2P for books.
Probably half their content can be had for free from legal sources to begin with.

In thier blurb they state that it's not p2p but if that's what it is I wouldn't pay the money either.

Just think about it, how would any author get paid a dime by someone that provides free books for life with a single payment of $50?
