Hello,
I currently have a Mac G5 and was having a few problems with my boot up. Unfortunately, the screen was getting stuck at the logo screen and would not take any commands when entered manually as well.
I took my Mac into a repair shop and they are stating that either my Logic Board or Processor has went bad. However, they are advising me that I need to purchase both of them, for a grand total of $1500 with a $500 installation.
Wouldn't a repair shop be able to determine whether a Logic Board or Processor was the problem instead of having me purchase both?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
