I'm just waiting for the parts to arrive, but i'm upgrading my new (2nd hand) Macbook with 4G of RAM and also bought an Intel 160G SSD. It's not a top end Mac, but it's specs are enough to run my Protools sessions at full steam.

Are there any settings I should be aware of to bump up performance levels, especially in regard to running the SSD?

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
Nope.... the 4GB RAM and the SSD are going to do what you want without the need for any tinkering.
