I've searched around, but haven't found a description of what I'd like to do:

When my new 4G iPod Touch arrives any day now, I'd like to sync/transfer all the data, apps, playlists, etc. from my current 2G iPod Touch library to the new 4G iPod Touch. (Once the new iPod Touch is set up, the old iPT will no longer be used.) What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Thanks!

I did this exact same thing myself last month. All I did was connect my 2G to my iMac and make sure everything was backed up and up to date. I made sure that everything was synced thru iTunes. Then I disconnected that and connected my new iPhone. The iPhone picked up all the apps that I had on the iTouch and transferred all the pictures/contacts/calendar.

It was so easy it was ridiculous.
