XBox Live Issue w/ Airport Extreme

I am ethernet connected to an Airport Extreme router...when I run the connection test, the XBox Live fails due to "insufficient MTU setting." I've read in several places that the Airport router's MTU settings aren't adjustable. Is this true?...any way to connect to Xbox Live?...(is this Apple v Microsoft?) Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know how to change the MTU settings but just to give the xbox the best chance you might like to try assigning a static IP to the xbox and forwarding the ports that are required by xbox live:
TCP 80
UDP 88
UDP 3074
TCP 3074
UDP 53
TCP 53
