Simple answer...yes.

p.s. The seller is asking $200 or best offer. So offer less!;)

Looks like a single G5 CPU. There was a Dual also. The one thing I can't remember for sure is, there was an issue with one model of Power Mac G5. Either the 1.6 or the 1.8. I don't remember as it's been so long.

Mac2Sell gives a value of $210. So I guess it's worth it if it's in good shape.

If it's only a single processor 1.8ghz Powermac G5...then the $200 asking price is "borderline". But since the deal includes a 17" monitor (I'm assuming a 17" LCD monitor)...then that probably helps...since a used 17" LCD monitor is usually worth $40-$50.

It's a CRT monitor according to the listing. Like I and the other poster said, $210 is what Mac2Sell says. I agree with Nick, If you can talk him down a bit, better yet. It's right at the top end of it's worth though at $200.

Hes driving up to meet me so I told him I'd give him the full 200 for it. He has the install disk and original keyboard and mouse that came with it. Thanks everybody for the quick responses!

Please report back after you get the G5 and let us know how it works! Good luck!!

With the install disk and all that it's an even better deal as far as I am concerned. You can run Apple Hardware test if you need to without ordering another OSX install CD/DVD.

Ahh...I missed that detail!;)

@OP...a 17" display is actually worth next to nothing (in fact if you tried to sell it for $5.00 on Craig's List it probably wouldn't even sell). But if you need a display...then it's useful.

Let us know if it's a dual or single processor.

I see them in the "free" section of craigslist all the time. Sometimes you can find a slightly smaller, newer CRT, which aren't half bad. I actually have one of those old things in my closet... It's so big that when you put it on the desk, there's no room for the keyboard to go in front of it! I wonder if I'll ever find a use for the old thing... :Smirk:

200 for a single CPU PMG5...hmm maybe, I bought my G5 2x2.0 for 150 (and sold it at 300 with two iMac G3s).
