Macbook Pro will not load certain sites.

Hello,

I have a Macbook Pro and it will not load certain sites (Gmail, Facebook, or Youtube are the ones I have noticed). This message comes up:

The connection was interrupted


The connection to Welcome to Facebook was interrupted while the page was loading.








* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

This is clearly the Firefox error message; I tried it in Safari, too. I tried the sites on my other Mac and they worked just fine. I turned the firewalls off and there are no parental settings on. It loads other sites (like this one) perfectly fine.
