Interesting thread title huh? haha..

I'm curious and haven't been able to locate the right answer, or maybe I have and don't know it. But what is the right name for media sites like iTunes and Napster?

I'm looking for something that's either a similar software I can buy to make my version of those sites or a clone software but I don't know what those sites are called as far as how to Google it goes.

I know if I want a dating site script or clone I can Google that. I've tried iTunes clone but I don't really want to sell mp3 files. I want to sell videos and pictures mainly.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

Well, it's not a site. Sure, it's hosted via servers, but it's actually a piece of software. As far as naming it, well it's a media store.

How could you set up one like it? Well, ink some deals with popular media companies and purchase the rights to sell their media. Then, hire a programmer if you can't build the app yourself and then promote it. It also helps if you have the world's most popular media players. But that takes even more R&D.

Welcome to Mac-Forums

Like cwa107 says it's gonna take alot of time to setup such a site. Also the cost of making one and buying the rights etc is going to cost a small-medium fortune.
Not to dis-hearten you or anything lolol
