Just wondering when the last iMac update was on the store?

I am looking into buying a couple of iMacs in January but the ati 4xxx and 5xxx cards in them are pretty dated or weak for the money if purchasing the 27" imac. Is there any hints as to what the next path on the upgrade road will be?

Cheers

No one knows when the refresh will be until Apple announces it.

It sounds more like the OP is asking what hardware they are going to be using in the next refresh.

I found out the last refresh was in June/July.

Thanks for the quick replies i guess there is no conjecture or specualtion at all then.

I will just wait and hope that they upgrade the graphics option significantly.

I wouldn't lay hard money on that. Graphics cards ALWAYS get short shrift at Apple because you're *supposed* to be doing something *productive* on them, and the cards provided are WAY more than adequate for any non-gaming tasks short of high-end 3D/Video rendering type stuff, which of course you'd have bought a Mac Pro for anyway.

That's the impression I've always gotten, at least.
