Recording program needed

Howdy guys

Since I got my powerbook I haven't had much need for posting here, it's all been flawless.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew a good & free program that will allow me to record from the built-in mic, it doesn't have to be fancy, just do that one thing.

It's kind of clunky, though.

If you have the iLife suite, you can just use GarageBand for that.

Thanks for that guys, Audacity IS clunky but quite good actually! Pretty much EXACTLY what I was after!
