Streaming Video from iphone

Today the update came out to allow you to stream video from your iphone to the apple tv.
I must say it works great, the only problem im seeing with it is the update was just for the new apple tv and not the old one? which i think sucks
has anyone heard that its only going to work on the 2nd apple tv? or will there be an update for the 1st gen version?

The original ATV is dead. You want the bells and whistles, buy an ATV 2. From my perspective, the ATV is FAR, FAR a better product in every way than the original ATV was. It sucks, but the new one is only $99 and streaming is SO much better.

I have both the old 1 and the new 1 but wanted to make sure they are not bring out an update for the 1st gen before i go and buy another 2nd gen apple tv.

Gotcha. My ATV1 just died (HDD) last week but it's still under warranty. I may take it back to Apple and see if they'll just replace it with a new on. Never hurts to ask...
