Stop Syncing

Sometime in the past, I set up syncing between my Yahoo online Contact list and my mac. Now that I have quit using that account, I keep getting the alert box (see the attachment)

How do I stop this from happening?

I suspect that you have it set to sync using Apple's Address Book app. Open Address Book and go to Preferences (Command + ,) - Click the Accounts icon at the top, and see if Synch with Yahoo is checked/configured. If it is, uncheck it and you're done.
