Well Verizon successfully killed the Microsoft Kin, now they are out to kill the Galaxy Tab

Sounds like they are the kiss of death to anybody who partners with them

And people want this to happen to Apple and the iphone. Maybe this is a good reason Verizon does not have the iphone yet.

And from the article posted:
I’m not sure what the other carriers are doing for pricing and hidden fees on the Samsung Tab, but this definitely makes me appreciate my $14.99 a month fee for my iPad. In the case of the iPad, the $14.99 never changes, except when I have to renew it again for another $14.99 for the next month.
One really good thing Apple has going for the ipad. Easy to understand and smart data plans.

Apple dictates what the iPad can be sold for, Whether or not it can or cannot be sold on contract and the terms & conditions. It seems Samsung has left that up to the carriers to decide. So far it seems T-Mobile and Sprint have the most competitive prices for the Tab.
