Hello, New Mac user and all was going well, but have now developed a problem connected to desktop screen size.

Desktop appears too large for screen, in that I loose either the left or right hand side of the screen depending on the positioning of my mouse.

I've tried changing screen resolutions in displays folder in system preferences, but this hasn't worked.

Hope I've explained clearly - can anybody help please?

Thank you.

Which iMac, year - model? Without knowing which model you have, I can't tell you what resolution to use. However, you should always set the display to its native resolution for best results.

Also make sure that you do not have the zoom feature on as that will make all objects larger regardless of resolution. (Option - Command - 8 turns the zoom feature on and off.)
