Under 10.3.x, clicking anywhere in the window (bringing it to the front) will cause it to update.

Under 10.4.x, windows update themselves. (Finally! This has been missing since OS 9!)

usually when i network my pc and mac(with ethernet cable), it takes some time before i can see my harddrive mounted on my ibook.
I just thought that if there is a refresh button like that on windows, it will accelerate the process of my h.d being mounted on my ibook.
my ibook specs is just below my username. =)
