I have an early 2006 iMac

Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 2 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: IM41.0055.B08
SMC Version (system): 1.1f5
Serial Number (system):
Hardware UUID: 00000000-0000-1000-8000-0016CB85BEC7

which is maxed out and would like to know if there is a way to upgrade at least the memory? I run a heavy duty graphics Virtual world program that could really use more memory to help speed it up.

Any Suggestions other than buying a new computer which I can't afford since I've been out of work for over 2 years :(

Thanks in advance for any help/info you can provde.

Looking at MacTracker, it looks like that system supports a max of 2GB RAM, and your specs indicate that you already have 2GB installed.

The only thing that could possibly speed it up would be if you installed a 7200 RPM Hard Drive. I'm not sure how much of a performance boost this offer, as I haven't done much research on them, but don't expect a huge difference. That's pretty much the only thing that you can upgrade on that computer, as everything else is maxed out.
