Hey all,

New to the board, and NOT a hardware guy at all. So really I'm not looking for how, just is it possible. I have a Macbook Pro (Intel) and a G5 Tower (Power PC). I'm running 10.5 and wanted to jump up to 10.6 but I just realized that it doesn't support Power PC processor. Is it possible, with a little $$$ spent, for me to get my tower "converted" to an Intel processor?

This question has been asked before - if you use the forum search function you'll probably get quite a few hits. But let me save you the trouble: You probably can not upgrade your G5 tower to an Intel machine without spending as much or more than if you just bought a nice used Mac Pro.
