Mini Mac and Ipad

I just bought my first Mac . A Mini Mac 1.42 512mb ram 80 GB hard drive. I cannot connect my Ipad because iTunes says I need version 10.5 . I looked through Apple store but could not find it. Can anybody help me find a copy.

Your Mac's Specs
11" MacBook Air / Unibody MacBook / iMac i3 21.5" / iPhone SE
Version 10.5 means the operating system for you Mac Mini must be Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) or above.
I suspect you are currently running 10.4 Tiger.

You can buy a copy from reputable dealers on Ebay or Craigslist, or try your local Mac User Group -- they often have members who have upgraded and will sell their "old" copy for a song.

You could also try just calling Apple. Many members here have reported that Apple will sell G4/G5 owners a copy of Leopard for a modest fee.
