stupid keyboard/magic mouse question

do you turn them off every time you aren't using them, or do they "sleep"?

Mac Mini Aluminium running at 2.4 GHz.
They sleep
They wake when you touch a key or give the mouse a click or move it.

They power down and have never turned mine off.

I find that if I'm going to be away for quite some time, I like to turn off the bluetooth peripherals. I don't know if it helps battery life or not, but it makes me FEEL like it does. :)
