Is this normal?

I recently purchased the 13in MacBook Pro from the Apple store and I just noticed something weird. I've had it for about two weeks and just noticed everytime I open the lid from closed to open it grinds against the metal right above the power button and in the relatively same area on the other side of the laptop. Is this typical and will this be covered by my warranty?

If this isn't accidental damage, meaning, if it hasn't been dropped, it will be covered.
Make an appointment with the Apple Genius bar to take it in and have it looked at.

that shouldnt be happening. the outer rim of the screen should fit nicely to the unibody. do as 6string says. because you shouldnt be having problems so early wit a new mac
