That's for the first year. If you keep it beyond that, you pay Apples pices regardless. I guess some savings is better than none.

Unless, they've changed it recently, I've used the MobileMe box from Amazon for my renewal for the last two years.

Went and checked just now, and there's no option there to enter the code from the box. But, I've still got over 4 months left in the current year. Can't say if that changes during the last month or if Apple has changed the ability to use those codes for renewal.

You can keep buying the boxes and using the codes to renew. I get it every year from Amazon or Ebay for pretty cheap.

Just thought I'd pass it along. I've been overpaying for years apparently.

I've been doing something like that (minus the boxes). The last two renewals were purchased from the same powerseller on ebay. He emails the code to you after payment through PayPal. Worked perfectly each time.

I tried to find my last (email) invoice from him but apparently I trashed it. I want to say I payed somewhere in the neighborhood of $60.00? I'm not due for renewal until mid April.

I buy most of my Mac software from Amazon. All my programming books are way cheaper from there. Love Amazon.

I stand corrected! I'll have to give that a try when mine comes up for renewal again!

baggss, make sure you go in and turn off the auto-renewal if you've got it on.

I'm thinking, after they start sending out the emails letting you know it's set to expire in 30 days, then there's another option that allows you to put a code in for payment.

Amazon's price varies throughout the year on the single license from about $50-$70 while the Family license pretty much stays about $100. I don't really do ebay unless I'm looking for something I can't get otherwise, so not sure what kind of pricing you can get there.

Sooper Fast!
If they just did a base $10 a month iPhone tracking subscription, they'd make so much more money.
