I recently bought a new Mac Mini with a 24 inch Philips display. When I connected the display and started up the computer, it booted up and showed the grey apple screen, but it never made it past that. On the screen it reads "cannot display this video mode, change computer display input to 1920x1080@60Hz." As you might have realized, I can't get onto the computer to do so because I cannot see what I am doing. This is extremely frustrating because I had my Mini hooked into my friend's tv and it worked perfectly right away and now I can't even get it to connect. Does anybody know any hotkeys/solutions to this problem? Please help!

Try booting the Mini up in Safe Mode. Hold down the Shift key as soon as you hear the chime and keep holding it until you see the gray Apple icon. You should be able to get in that way and reset the display options.

How do you have the Phillips hooked to the Mini? VGA? DVI? HDMI? You probably should be using DVI for best results.
