I've owned this used MacBook for about a year. When I bought it, it had a battery that did not hold a charge. I thought a remedy would be to buy a new AC adapter directly from Apple. So I have a decently new AC adapter.

I bought a new battery off of ebay and now when I plug it in it says "Battery is not charging" and the icon shows the plug is plugged in, but the battery's percentage just goes down.

I've tried resetting the PRAM and the SRAM or whatever the second one is. Is there any way to fix this that anyone knows? What could be wrong?

The light on the end o the Magsafe is on but pretty dim.

Thank you for the help.
