    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.

I'm trying to capture video & Sound from my old vcr tapes. Using a late fall 2008 Mac Book Pro, Final cut Express 4, Imovie firewire 800 and a Moviebox DV for transfer. Everything seems to be working fine with Capture Video & Sound using Quicktime (ie Movie Box is working). In FCx & Imovie I am only receiving Video, with no SOUND. I've looked at the preference tabs and see only USB Mic In and Line in sound showing on my options. It seems like I can only use Line in to get the sound to work properly. Why isn't the programs not allowing the firewire audio to work? Any help would be appreciated. This is the first time I've used FC and Imovie.
