how do i boot from firewire?

i got the micronet firewire hard drive, but i wanted to copy all of my hard drive to the external so that i can boot from that one. what software do i need to clone the hard drive, and secondly, how do i configure the mini to boot from firewire instead of internal?

also, how do i format the internal drive as a spare drive once the clone is complete?

I'm asuming that you have OS 10.3-10.4 installed. Ok go to the disk utility to format your drive.

Not sure about the rest of your q's.

There is an option in System Preferences for Startup Disk.
