I have a 15" Macbook pro bought back in spring of 07'.

Amazon's best rated batteries for $125, that's too much.

I found this site.. Laptop Battery: MacBook Pro - 15-Inch - Product Details

anyone back that site up?

I've seen replacement batteries for as little as $38 bucks from sellers on e-Bay. Basically if you're ok with using a non-Apple battery...go for it.

Personally I have not heard of that website...but that doesn't mean it's not ok.

Good luck,

- Nick

I've ended up deciding to go with the OWC NuPower this time around. Have one coming with their next shipment. Don't have a clue if it's any better or not. I do see them have a good turnover (e.g. they run out fairly often), so they're not sitting around on the shelf for a long time.

I purchased a cord for my 2006 Macbook on eBay, that thing started to fall after a month. But it still works... even with the wire exposure! :p

there are plenty of sites out there, I have used Amazon and found some for as low as 20 bucks a pop. OWC is site I have heard has good quality, I can also recommend Newegg.com for not only batteries but great Tech deals all the time. Hope this helps.

Be careful about generic, Chinese batteries. If they're not made to exacting standards, they can be prone to catching fire or swelling.

Based on the reviews I've seen of aftermarket batteries, I would recommend FastMac.
