I've just been given a macbook pro 15" its been stripped out inside so obvious there was a problem with it as its missing the ram, optical drive, battery, hdd,

I want to test the monitor and the logic board to see whts wrong and see if its worth rebuilding or not any way i can go about this?

The MBP will need memory, power, a working graphics chipset (on the logic board), an external optical drive, and either a retail or machine specific OS X install DVD. The optical drive is needed in order to be able to boot the machine with the OS X install DVD. The install DVD contains the Apple Hardware Test. Note that if the logic board is bad the machine may not boot.
