Did not get my HDD space back after deleting bootcamp!!!!

Sup Guys,

I have deleted my Bootcamp partition earlier today through the Bootcamp assistant. Everything work fine but now it seems that the 25Gb (size of the Bootcamp partition I had) are lost!!?? Under disk utility there is only one partition, Macintosh HD, which is right. it say capacity is 499Gb, available 357Gb. All seems perfectly fine. However when I wanted to reinstall Bootcamp, i had to reformat my drive and restore my system from my Time Machine backup (took 11hours!!!!) because it said that some files cant be move etc. When that was finally done like 1 hour ago I opened Bootcamp Assistant, after clicking continue on the first page of the Bootcamp Assistant it asks me for the size of the Partition I want to create. Problem is it says that the Mac OS X partition currently is 460Gb and Free space is 327Gb (when the Windows partition is set to 5Gb), so it seems that 25Gb of space do not appear!!!!!????? why is it that 25Gb seem to be gone???(or not recognized by the BC Assistant). I looked in disk utility and everything seems fine, but Boot Camp Assistant dosnt seem to find these 25Gb
Anyone know what happened?? or if its normal??

This happens on occasion. Your partition table is corrupt and isn't accounting for the deleted Boot Camp partition even though it does not show up in Disk Utility.

The only way to correct it is a reinstall. Make a Time Machine backup first and then use your original install media to erase the drive. During the reinstall process you'll be asked if you have a backup. Make sure your Time Machine backup drive is attached. Everything will be restored as it was before but the drive space will have been corrected.

Like i stated I erased my drive and reinstalled with my Time Machine Backup. didnt do anything
Does it matter in a sense if the BC Assistant doesn't recognize the space??? cuz on my Macintosh HD all the space is available

That should have worked to get all your space back in Boot Camp. Try resetting the PRAM/NVRAM and let's see what happens.

I reset the PRAM/NVRAM and id sadly didnt make a difference, any other suggestions??

I just partitoned my drive and reinstalled Boot Camp now, the Macintosh HD has 323Gb free, so its like a couple das, just weird that the Boot Camp Assistant didn't recognize these 25 Gb

Erasing your hard drive may not have been enough...how about reformatting your hard drive.

-If you reformat your hard drive & do a Time Machine reinstall and your HD space is as it should be...then you're good to go.

- If you reformat your hard drive & do a Time Machine reinstall and still have the problem...then the problem is with the Time Machine backup.
