So something strange just happened to me.. on Google. I'll try to explain it as best I can.. It left me feeling most uncomfortable.

When one logs in to Gmail, Orkut, (anything Google) and uses the search bar in the top right corner of their Safari browser, they are redirected to their search result at google.com. Typically it will display, at the top of the page, "you are logged in as 'soandso'," and right next to that, give you the option to log out... With me so far? (You are still logged in to gmail though you are not currently looking at your inbox).

Welp... I just googled something using that very same search bar and basically it said I was logged in as someone I have never even heard of before... some "gsargenti." Now what do you suppose that could be an indication of? Is my MacBook not as bulletproof as I always assumed. Any thoughts on this from anyone?

Did you try clicking "Settings" (next to the sign out link) and then "Google Account Settings" to see if you could actually access this person's Google account?

I had something similar happen to me as well, but with YouTube. I was using my two week old iPad at the time and visiting YouTube through the Safari app. For no good reason, I was logged in as a different username. It was a user from Europe of Turkish decent judging by his favorites. His account was really boring, so I had no problem logging out of his account for his privacy. :p
