I have one of the intel iMacs and every now and then in the middle of everything, the screen turns white, or if I have iTunes open the screen turns white and the music in the background starts skipping like a broken record.
The problem only gets better when I force do a force shutdown and restart.
I got this computer about a year and half ago before Apple released the iMac with the black frame going to the edges.
