AppleInsider | Apple's iOS pushes Microsoft to dial down Silverlight for HTML5
While Apple's success with its mobile iOS platform is credited with invoking the proliferation of HTML5 video at the expense of Adobe's Flash, it's also causing a major shift in strategy for Microsoft's Silverlight.

Yay. It seems the iOS success it making MS think twice and scale back it's very proprietary and pointless silverlight. I'm very happy about this. Cause in my opinion a would without silverlight is a world for the better.

What I find funniest about this is the people who have been saying, "Apple can't accomplish anything by avoiding Flash." Of course, now they'll keep their mouth shut and hope no one remembers their totally inaccurate comments.
