Apple lowers eMac prices
October 22, 2003 - 08:34 EDT* Apple today announced lower prices for its popular eMac desktop computer, with the SuperDrive-equipped model now starting at US$1,099. The eMac features a 17-inch flat CRT and a 1GHz G4 processor in a compact all-in-one design. It comes with either a Combo (DVD-ROM/CD-RW) drive for watching DVD movies and burning CDs or a SuperDrive (DVD-R/CD-RW), which adds the ability to burn DVDs. The eMac comes with ATI Radeon 7500 graphics with 32MB of dedicated DDR SDRAM, hard drives up to 80GB, and Mac OS X version 10.3 "Panther" pre-installed.

My Comments: I wish I could buy my brother one of these :(

Hmmm, how much do the low-ends cost? Might be worth pickin' one up just to give the boot to some more of my PC's :)

Yeah, don't need a DVD burner in every machine I own :)

Actually just a CD/DVD drive would be cool....
