omg every table tonight ordered 'coke' and i sat there all night...is pepsi alright? is pepsi okay? we only have pepsi. how about pepsi? i began to run out of ways in order to say it...anywya back to the thread

i usually go with 'coke' but soda sums it up pretty well for me nowadays because i have moved on to organic caffeine free super yummy all natural soda's

and a bubler is not a water fountain....a bubbler is a 'tobacco' pipe that has a water resevoir in order to cool the smoke when you smoke it which helps prevent your from 'burning' your throat and 'choking' or caughing a lot

Down south (Louisiana) we call all soft-drinks "coke." It doesn't matter what flavor it is, lol. I always think it's pretty funny when I ask someone from up-north if they would like a coke, they say yes, and I ask them what kind they would like. They usually say...."uhmmmmm regular I guess, but if you have diet that's okay too," to which I reply, "uhhh, I mean like a sprite or dr pepper or mr pibb... ya know? what kinda coke ya want?" LOL

Back in my youth in Wisconsin (when Eisenhower was pres) we called it pop and a bubbler was a water fountain. However if you went to a soda fountain you got a soda, not pop.

Arizona: "soda".

Bubbler: "44 oz Thirstbuster" a.k.a "bladder-buster"

I was raised with the term soda pop or polly pop. Don't know where that came from. Most likely one of my aunts trying to be cute. I just use the term soda.
