Basically I have 2 macbook pros. A 2008 and a 2010. The 2010 doesn't have a fire wire port which is a disappointment or have the type of ports changed? Also when I plug my digital video camera into my old macbook pro and press play then nohing happens and I can not find anything in Finder devices. How do I capture all my digital videos on my mac?
Thanks

The 2010 doesn't have a fire wire port...

Are you sure the 2010 is a MBP? Strange question I know, but my 2010 15" MBP certainly does have a FireWire 800 port -and according to the specs I just checked on the Apple site, all the current model 2010 MBP's have a FireWire 800 port also!

If you have a MacBook Pro then it will definitely have a firewire port. It will be a firewire 800 port.
